  4. Assembly tool rotor shaft bush

  5. Positioning bush on tool / interm. casing

  6. Pressing in rotor shaft bush

  7. Hydraulic press / 5 metric tons

  8. Position rotor on assembly tool

  9. Position shaft in assembly tool

  10. Lock shaft in assembly tool

  11. Press shaft into rotor

  12. Apply Loctite 648 to pump cover bore

  13. Position idler pin and pumpcover on tool

  14. Idler pin / pump cover tool complete

  15. Pressing idler pin into pump cover

  16. Remove excessive Loctite after fitting

  17. Assembly of TopGear GM

  18. Exploded view – wet parts

  19. Place gasket on pump cover – hole position!

  20. Fit pump cover into pp casing – use guiding pins

  21. Use plastic hammer to drive pump cover in place

  22. Tighten front cover bolts crosswise – right torque!

  23. Assemble drain plug with sealing ring

  24. Drill and tap hole for locking screw of the bearing bush

  25. Apply Loctite 648 to set screw

  26. Screw in set screw – check depth!

  27. Check that set screw is not screwed in too deep

  28. Check locking and deburr

  29. Apply grease OKS 477 to idler bush

  30. Apply grease on idler pin

  31. Place idler compl. into pump casing

  32. Check if rotor shaft front face is not sticking out and if the rotor shaft fitting is locked with set screw

  33. Fit rotor shaft into pump casing

  34. Check if the rotor shaft can be turned completely

  35. Fit grafite gasket on intermediate casing

  36. Place intermediate cover over pump shaft

  37. Tighten intermediate casing crosswise and with the right torque

  38. Apply loctite to set screw for locking of the rotor bearing bush

  39. Tighten set screw for locking of the rotor bearing bush

  40. Place graphite gaskets for sealing the gland packing insert

  41. Gland packing insert – flat face and pin position!

  42. Put gland packing insert in place – pin position!

  43. Tighten gland packing insert – right torque!

  44. Place packing rings into the sealing chamber – two rings opening 180 degrees rotated

  45. Put split lantern ring in place

  46. Place outside packing rings in place – opening 180 degress rotated

  47. Mount stud bolts for pressure piece

  48. Put pressure piece in place and screw on nuts by hand – not tighten!

  49. Sectional view roller bearing arrangement

  50. Place v-seal over the shaft – sealing lip pointing to the top
