  3. ….Things to Remember….from January 12, 2006 • FAS Accounts become Chartstrings • Chartstrings are made up of a combination of Chartfields • For Transactions Purposes user must know the following chartfields: PCBU, Project ID, Account, and Tx. Dept. The system will dynamically populate GLBU, Owner Dept, Program and Fund • For Reporting purposes user must be familiar with the definitions of ALL Chartfields and Understand the concept of “Time Spans” or various reporting periods, such as Fiscal Year, Project Year and Project Life to Date • The “ How To Do Something” in the system will come when you attend formal Training. • The “Understanding” of how all this fits together will come as time goes on and you experience using all the features and functions of the system…. • Enjoy the ride starting March 1, 2006
