  6. FAMILY MEMORIES • Every year my whole family including my aunts, uncles, cousins etc. goes to Vietnam to celebrate Chinese New Year together. It is an special event for everyone and we take lots of photos to capture our memories and play some games together. My grandma had 7 kids so which means my family is very big so when we all come together and celebrate we have lots of fun. My aunty and I on Chinese New Year, 2008

  7. My family usually go out with aunt's and uncle’s on the weekends or holidays. One of my favourite memories was going to the snow! We went to Mt. Bulla in Australia. At the snow, Mt. Bulla My family goes out for dinner at Legend, most of my aunt’s are there, 2006.

  8. WHY IS TIME AND PLACE IMPORTANT ? • I am an Australian Citizen because my parents decided to move to Australia. I also know how to speak 2 languages instead of one. I am a fluent English speaker because I was born in Australia, that affects my accent. • I wouldn’t have the experiences I have had in Australia and I wouldn’t know the qualities of life over there. • Australia is like my home country even though my parents backgrounds are Vietnamese because I lived and studied there nearly my whole life. I consider myself more Australian then Vietnamese because of that. Now I am apart of 2 entirely different cultures and communities. • Moving to Vietnam was a hard thing for me because I only visited Vietnam and haven’t studied here yet but moving to Vietnam, I have learnt a lot more about its culture and more about my parents background. I have more experiences because I need to make new friends and go to new school and learn in different ways. It was very difficult at first. • Australians think differently to Vietnamese people, cause both cultures are very different and Australia is considered a rich country while Vietnam is considered a poor one. We are lucky to be the rich ones in Vietnam. • If I wasn’t born at the same time, then my whole life would change, because my year level is different, that would also affect my friends and learning.
