  4. Editing • The editing process is the process of making improvements to a text. • In a word program, improvements are made using the clipboard functions • Clipboard = temporary storage for text and graphics.

  5. Clipboard functions • Cut: removes a piece of text from a document (ctrl + x) • Paste: “glues” text from the clipboard into the insertion point (ctrl + v) • Copy: Saves a copy of highlighted text to the clipboard (ctrl + c) • Drag and drop: Moving highlighted text to a new location using the pointer • Highlight text, press and hold mouse button over selected text until pointer appears, drag pointer to new text location and release the mouse.

  6. For Today… • Complete the following assignments in order using the Helen Moffit Document • Cut and paste • Copy and Paste • Clipboard • Find and Replace • Submit your completed document to the SkyDrive.
