  2. April 2005: Three Ariba workstations containing 11,600 SSNs hacked President Jischke and VPIT Jim Bottum meeting Consequences Entire ITaP office received a permanent letter of reprimand A few received pay adjustments

  3. Provost’s Memo Six Action Items by August 8th Sensitive and Restricted data no longer stored on workstations Anti-virus software Firewall OS Patches Scanning workstations for vulnerabilities Dataflow & Network diagrams …

  4. Response to the Dean’s Memo Move sensitive & restricted data to servers (SSN scanner coming) Remove unsupported 3rd party software and networked apps from workstations Shore up workstation security (prevent apps from modifying the OS) Move all public web sites to a dedicated web server & lock down file servers

  5. Other Stuff Course/Grade Rosters, Scantron now using PUID IAMO & SSN Remediation Security Officer’s Group ADPC mainframe cross-reference tool PAL2.0 (PAL will stick around indefinitely)
