History • Keith Burhans designed and developed the original Gold Medal Seat used by Richard Ramos • Last year a senior design team (P12031) worked with Richard to improve the system to Richard’s specifications and make it unique to him. • Since Richard has noticed a market for a fully adjustable version.

  3. Project Description • This project will build upon the current version to develop a universal version. • Will have adjustability in: • Seat height • Seat front to back • Hand crank height • Hand crank front to back • Foot rest height • Foot rest front to back • Boat mounting

  4. Benchmarking • Automotive seat tracks • Adjustable pinned connections • Scissor table • Screw Jacks

  5. Team: • 3 Mechanical Engineers • 1 Industrial Engineer

Finance • Customer Request for a sub 5000 dollar budget. • Previous team had a bill of material for roughly 2200 dollars not including aluminum stock • A 12 foot stick of 2.5x2.5x.25 6061, 12 foot stick of 3x3x.25 6061 shipped to Rochester is roughly 500 dollars from www.metalsdepot.com • If a budget of 3000 dollars is targeted, this leaves 300 dollars for the addition of adjustments • This is well under the 5000 dollar request
