  3. Your POSITION regarding sin Verse 2: “We died to sin…” • ✗ I cannot possibly sin. • ✗ I’m trying hard not to sin. • ✓ I have died to the power, reign and authority of sin.

  4. Your POSITION regarding sin Verse 3: “…baptised into Christ Jesus…” • ✓ As a Christian I am now IN Christ Jesus. • ✓ Jesus died, was buried, and then raised to new life. • ✓ Therefore, I have died, been buried, and raised to new life.

  5. Your EXPERIENCE regarding sin Count yourself dead to sin Verse 11: “…count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.” Offer yourself as a slave Verse 19: “…so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to holiness.”
