  1. Crime Time Story Write a story about someone who is accused of committing a crime. In your story take the suspect from the arrest to the verdict (s/he will be found guilty). However, in your story omit (leave out) one or two steps of the criminal court process because your defendant will appeal their conviction and win on appeal. Your story should end with “the case is overturned on appeal because…..”DO NOT TELL US WHAT STEPS WERE OMITTED!!! Stories will be read aloud next class. Your classmates will be detectives and have to figure out why the case was overturned on appeal. Be creative and descriptive……it makes for a better story.
