  1. 100% PURE’s “No” List: The Ingredients Their Products Will Never Contain 100% PURE specializes in providing safe and effective makeup and skin care products. As a part of this commitment, every product that they offer goes through a rigorous nine-step testing process to ensure its purity and effectiveness. In addition, they pay close attention to details and are extremely selective with the ingredients in every product they offer to ensure they are cruelty-free and safe for consumers. 100% PURE has a thorough list compiling all of the ingredients that they won’t use—their “no” list. Every product they sell—from their fruit pigmented® eyeshadow to their eye cream with caffeine—adheres to this list, so you get the beauty benefits you want without any harmful synthetic chemicals or animal-derived ingredients that go against your beliefs. Here are a few of the ingredients 100% PURE has on their "no" list—that you won’t find in their products: Aluminum Aluminum is best used for cans—not your makeup. Many companies will use powdered aluminum in self-care products like deodorants, and it’s also used in some cases as a colorant. Even so, aluminum in cosmetics can have harmful effects as it can cause skin irritation, and worse, birth disorders, and has also even been linked to Alzheimer’s. Dipropylene Glycol

  2. Often used in cosmetics as a masking agent and fragrance, dipropylene glycol is proven to have low toxicity. However, it is still an active irritant of the skin and the eye area, meaning it has no place in cosmetic products. Oxybenzone This is an agent typically used to protect people from UV rays and is found in some sunscreens and moisturizers. Even so, it has been linked to skin irritation, and some people can have an allergic reaction to it, so 100% PURE keeps it out of their products, including their highly-rated cream foundation. Carbon Black Typically found in eyeliners, carbon black is linked to cancer and organ toxicity and is also known by a few other names including pigment black 6, pigment black 7, channel black, arogen, froflow, and black pearls. Caprylyl Glycol This ingredient is often used as a skin conditioning agent and is typically found in lipsticks, eyeshadows, moisturizers, and foundations. Because it can be harmful, 100% PURE does not include it in its full coverage foundation. Animal Fats, Oils, and Musks As a part of their commitment to being a cruelty-free cosmetics provider, 100% PURE will never use tallow, rendered mutton or beef fat, oils, or musk from animals. In keeping with this commitment, they never test their products on animals and encourage others to follow this cruelty-free approach.
