  1. Is Grass Fed Beef Really Beneficial for You? When you hear "grass fed beef" or "grass finished beef," what do you think? Do you envision a cow peacefully roaming in a pasture, munching on grass and other natural vegetation all day long? Or do you imagine cows crammed into crowded feedlots where they are given unnatural corn-based diets to fatten them up as quickly as possible before slaughter? The difference between these two methods of raising cattle is vast. Not only does the animal's diet make a huge impact on their health, but it also affects the quality of the meat that we eat. However, many people don't know how much better grass fed beef is for us than regular factory-farmed beef. We'll discuss this more below! Grass Fed Beef is More Nutritious The primary difference between grass fed beef and factory-farmed cattle has to do with the nutrients found in their meat. Although both types of beef are high in protein, grass-fed beef contains higher levels of vitamins A & E as well as omega-three fatty acids. Factory farms have added growth hormones that increase fat content - especially saturated fats linked to heart disease! Grass finished cows don't contain these harmful fats because they aren't given any unnatural feed or supplements that could cause them to be stored into unhealthy forms within their bodies. When you're choosing grass fed beef, it's important to know that there are many different ways in which cattle can be raised. Some cows never see grass or spend their entire lives inside cramped feedlots - while others may only eat for a short period before being shipped off to the butcher so make sure you read labels closely and ask questions! Grass fed beef is beneficial but grass finished meat has more vitamins A & E as well as omega- three fatty acids. Factory farms have added growth hormones that increase fat content especially saturated fats linked to heart disease. Cows from pasture-raised animals provide people with easily digested proteins than those contained in corn-based feeds. Choices of how cattle raised include: some cows never see a grassy field and live on grain, while others are given diets of forage (e.g., hay) before finishing on grains. Grass finished beef comes from cattle that have eaten nothing but their mother's milk and the greenest pasture possible throughout their lives. Grain fed cows get more fat than meat so therefore must be supplemented with corn to ensure high yields of leaner cuts of meat such as T-bone steaks. Natural Vitamin E concentrations in grasses provide antioxidant benefits against free radical damage linked to cancer and heart disease. Cattle raised without ever feeding them cereal or cake byproducts will result in less saturated fats found in their muscle tissue which is better for human consumption over conventional meats filled with saturated fats - Grass fed beef is as much as four times higher in omega-three fatty acids than grain fed cows. Conclusion It is true that grass fed beef does have more omega 3s and CLA than their grain-fed counterparts, but the nutrition in a single steak might not be enough to make up for what you lose when it comes to vitamin E levels. Grass fed beef may be better for your health in relation to some other food choices, but there are many factors involved in determining if one diet plan will produce healthier results than another. With so much conflicting information out there about which kind of meat is best for you, it can be difficult to know where fact ends and fiction begins.
