ABOUT UNIVERSITY VFTSR (Vignan’s Foundation of Science Technology and Research), often also called Vaigan University, established in 1997, has evolved in more ways than one and has now become a Deemed University. Presently Vaignan University houses as many as 10000 plus students and offers degrees in varied streams of Engineering and management. The University is located in Velamundi in Guntur Andhra Pradesh. VFSTR has from time to time produced students that have not only secured good placements at the beginning of their careers but also have achieved great heights in their careers.

4. Campus: Vaignan University is situated in Guntur Andhra Pradesh. Therefore it is also called Vaignan University Guntur. The campus is big and houses all facilities for both resident students and daily commuting students. Facilities available on the campus apart from academics are the library, hostel, theatre, seminar halls, indoor and outdoor spaces for games and sports. The campus at Vaignan university Vadlamudi also has spaces for parking and also has a health center. The campus is situated 30 Km away from Vijayawada airport; upon reaching the airport, one can take a cab directly to the campus. From Guntur City, the campus is nearly 14 KM away; one can avail a public Bus or a cab to reach the campus.

6. HISTORY Vaignans Foundation of Science Technology and Research was originally started as Vaignans Engineering College in 1997. The college was established in Velmundi.In 2008 the college was named Vaignans Foundation of Science Technology and Research. The founding father of the institute earlier had success in schools and primary and secondary levels of teaching. Therefore the college seemed the next logical step and thus, founded by Dr. Lavu Rathaiah.

HISTORY A brief timeline of the past events of the institute is as follows. 1. 1997 start of UG course of Tech in Electronics communication and engineering along with CSE starts with intake capacity of 40 students each year 2. After two years, the intake capacity is increased by 20 more students. 3. In 2000 the intake capacity was doubled; thus it became 120 4. 2006 PG program flagged off 5. Affiliations Shifted to JNT University 6. 2009 the college gains recognition as a Deemed University

12. COURSES OFFERED The institute offers 41+ courses from seven programs. The programs are namely B.Tech, M.E./ M.Tech, MBA,MCA, BBA,B.Sc, and BCA. Moreover, as many as sixteen specializations are available in the field of engineering. All courses are full-time at the University; however, distance learning certificate programs are also available. The most popular courses for B.tech are CSE and ECE. For B.Tech courses, fees range from 2.3 lac to 8.2 lac ( fee can vary little depending on taxes and other factors). For M.tech fee ranges around 2.1 lac. The fee for MBA is Considerably low as it is around 2.1 lac.

The UEAC is a core part of VFSTR (Vignan’s Foundation of Science Technology and Research) because it organizes activities that develop in students the mindset of belonging and respecting the community. It also develops among the communities a sense of caring for the University. Placements: Vignan's foundation for science, technology & research has a placement cell that invites companies from time t time and sees that students are placed. Moreover, the University has a good placement record over the past. In 2019-20 1540 students secured jobs through companies visiting the campus. Based on external data, it is easily figurable that the institute sees decent placement every year, with 80%+ students securing jobs. Furthermore, the TCS, CTS, Concentrix, Westline were the top recruiters in 2019-20, with TCS picking up as many as 351 candidates and Concentrix 172.
