  2. Know everything about Welding Rotators Welding rotators are designed to rotate and manipulate shell, tanks, pipes and any other type of cylindrical objects. These are also very essential equipment for heavy and light fabrication shops. They are mainly used for turning or positioning cylindrical work pieces for peripheral welding (TIG / MIG / Sub Arc) or for complex assemblies. These “weld rotator” units offer a wide range of component handling and precise rotational speed adjustments as needed for any tank or shell rotation. This reduces preparation time and allows the operator to manipulate the parts in the optimum position. Hydraulic Shell to Shell Fit-Up Rotators Cu-Built Hydraulic Shell-to-Shell Fit-Up Rotators are specially designed for aligning, rotating, and supporting two sections of the same diameter of shells for "tack welding" or "full circumferential seam welding". Depending on the version for which it is indented, different diameters of cylindrical jobs can be accommodated on them. Fit-up rotators are used for the assembly or Fit-Up of Long Pipe / Tanks / Wind Tower / Vessel, etc. Fit Up Rotators have four units, two units (1 no. Drive unit + 1 no. Deflection unit) are with trolley wheels and the other two are hydraulic Fit Up units with a fixed base. The drive unit carriage has a built-in drive system so that the shell portion carried thereon can be moved forwards or backward to abut the shell rim against edge of the other shell on the fixed units. In the case of trays of different lengths, it is better to place these of the units on trolley wheels and only attach one unit. This helps to easily adapt the distance between the shell support units to the length of the shell sections.

Blasting and Painting Welding Rotators Blasting rotators and painting rotators are often used for rotating and positioning containers or tanks in the chemical engineering, container construction, petrochemical, and pipeline construction sectors.   8. Stand Welding Rotators The Stand Welding Rotators has two units, one is the drive unit and the other is the deflection unit. The frame is made of panels that have been precisely machined to maintain the correct height and orientation. These are mainly used as a motorized tripod for the assembly and maintenance of LP / HP turbine rotors, generator rotors, etc.

The basic function of this Pipe rotator is to turn the job continuously at a preset speed so that welding can be made on the circumference. In Drive Unit: Plummer blocks with Polyurethane Rollers are fixed on the mainframe. We have provided the fixed diameter setting i.e. According to the size of the job diameter. These types of rotators are very useful for pipe welding. The Idler unit: The idler unit is the same as the Drive unit without drive arrangement and gears.   10. Self-Aligning Type Welding Rotators Self-aligning welding rotators automatically adjust the roller housing to all application diameters within the specified diameter range. Such machines are usually used to meet the increased production requirements. The roller housings of this type of machine are hinged to the beds and open automatically when an order with a larger diameter is placed. In the Self-Aligning Type Welding rotators, each Roller bracket assembly has two separate roller assemblies, and this supports the job in a wider area. The final drive is given to all the sets of rollers of the Drive Unit in special models, providing better traction to the job. However, in that case, a de-clutching arrangement is provided to the top rollers, in order to protect the gearboxes, as when the job hits the top rollers first while loading, forcing it to rotate via.   11. Self-Aligning Type Welding Rotators Features Both the rollers automatically get adjusted for all job diameters. Accepts a complete range of job diameters in one setting.   12. Self Centering Type Welding Rotators Self Centering Type Welding Rotators are very essential equipment for heavy and light fabrication shops. They are mainly used to rotate or position the cylindrical jobs for circumferential welding (TIG / MIG / Sub Arc) or for intricate assemblies. The construction of Self Centering Type Welding Rotators is similar to the Conventional Type Welding Rotator except that this model has a provision to slide the Roller Brackets over the Base Frame equally in both directions through a lead screw having LH & RH Threads Unlike in Conventional Type Welding Rotator, the Roller Brackets in Self Centering Type is not bolted on the base frame. The rotation of the lead screw can either be Manual or Motorized (Optional). The Technical Specifications are the same as the Conventional Type.

  14. Conventional Type Welding Rotators Conventional Type welding rotators are specially designed to rotate or support the various diameters of cylindrical jobs. In Conventional Type Welding Rotators, main base frames are fabricated and stress relieved before machining. There are basically two units, the Drive and Idler – one unit each. The precisely machined (on the boring machine) Roller Brackets are bolted on the roller beds. Both the Roller Brackets have to be manually moved as per the job diameter keeping the center fixed. This model has a double-ended drive to avoid the use of a diameter-setting drive shaft. The fixing holes for the brackets on the bed are precisely factory set.
