How To Style Ponytail Curly Hair Extensions So you've got curly hair and want to add some volume. You've heard about the Ponytail Wave method, but your hair is too short of tying it back. Well, we have a solution! We call it the Ponytail Curly Hair Extension method because it is easy to do with your own hair and allows
you to add length with no heat tools required. This tutorial guides you on how you can easily achieve this look in just 5 minutes or less: Create a ponytail •Using a hair tie, make a ponytail at the top of your head. •Make sure that the ponytail is tight and secure to not slip out later in the process. •Don't brush or comb your curly hair before putting it in this new ponytail! This will cause any remaining curls to fall flat and lose their shape, which leads to less volume overall when styling with extensions (and also makes them look like they're falling out). Wrap the Hair Extension Around the Ponytail Wrap the hair extension around your ponytail with curly hair extensions clip in and secure it. Make sure to use a clip that is small enough to fit over your regular hair band but large enough to securely hold the ponytail. You will want to ensure that you do not leave any loose pieces of hair sticking out because this can cause tangles or matting later on down the road when you get ready again. Use bobby pins if necessary to secure loose edges of your hair extensions so that they are not noticeable when wearing them up in a bun or ponytail style. Secure with bobby pins •Secure with bobby pins. •Using bobby pins is a wonderful technique to secure the ponytail. You can use hairpins or a hair tie if you don't have bobby pins. Take it down, Style and Volumize! Now that you have a look you want, it's time to take it down and style! If you like a more polished look, use curling or flat iron to create curls. If you prefer a more natural look, use texturizing spray for texture and volume. Then blow dry your hair using a round brush to smooth out any flyaways. This easy way creates multiple looks in 5 minutes!
The first step is to create a ponytail. This can be done with a hair elastic, you can use one of those elastics that look like a rubber band and grab the hair from underneath, or if you have long hair, you can wrap it around your hand once or twice and pin it up. Next, take the extension and wrap it around your ponytail, as shown in the picture above. Secure with bobby pins, so they are close together but not overlapping. Be sure to leave enough room at either end for styling! If necessary, add more extensions to get thicker curls - we recommend 3-4 per side.
