This includes financial resources, human resources, and in-kind resources like professional expertise, physical space, and materials. Think broadly about stakeholders who can be potential providers of resources. This might include individual donors, foundations, corporate partners, government officials, and community members. The best way to think about this is to go into your community and find out who has influence over the resources you need for drafting a perfect resource mobilization plan. Create a list of potential resource providers Now create a list of potential resource providers. You can do this in a number of ways, including through social media and by getting out into your community to meet people. - Social media: This is an easy and accessible way to find out who has influence over the resources you need. Join online communities and participate in conversations about your issue. Be respectful and thoughtful in your online engagement, and you’ll have access to a wide range of people who can help you. - Be out in your community: You can also get out in your community and start talking to people. This may take some courage, but it’s essential to your long-term success. Narrow down your list of potential resource providers to a manageable number. This will help you stay focused as your resource mobilization efforts progress. Research ways to build relationships with potential providers Now that you’ve created a list of potential providers of resources for your resource mobilization plan, research ways to build relationships with them. This can include attending networking events, participating in webinars, joining online communities, and getting out into your community to talk with people. Make sure to request what you require.
