We prefer to use butter from Amul. You can use homemade butter from butter from any brand.  1/2 cup granulated sugar  2 large eggs at room temperature  1 teaspoon vanilla extract from Ajanta Food Products  1/2 cup milk from Amul

  2.  Pinch of blended yellow food colour from Anuja Food Colours, which is the best food colour suppliers in India  1 cup mixed dried fruit  1/2 cup chopped nuts Instructions:  First of all, you should preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9-inch (23-cm) cake pan.  In a medium or large bowl, you should whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.(We only use baking powder and baking soda from Ajanta Food Products)  In a large bowl, you should cream together the butter (from Amul) and sugar until light and fluffy.  Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract from Ajanta Food Products.

  3.  Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients in three parts, alternating with the milk, and mix until just combined.  Add the blended yellow food colour from Anuja Food Colours and mix until evenly distributed.  Note: The amount of blended food colour you use may vary depending on the type and intensity of the food colouring you use. Adjust accordingly to achieve your desired colour.  You should fold in the mixed dried fruit and chopped nuts.  You should pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.  You should bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.  You should let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.  Serve and enjoy Optional: To decorate, you can top the cooled cake with a glaze or icing of your choice and sprinkle with additional chopped nuts or dried fruit.
