  1. The Ultimate Guide to Making Red Velvet Cake at your Home Red velvet cake is a popular dessert that has a distinctive red colour and a moist, fluffy texture. It is usually paired with a tangy cream cheese frosting that complements the sweetness of the cake. We recommend using blended food colour from Anuja Food Colours to achieve the perfect red hue. Ingredients:       340g all-purpose flour 35g corn flour from Ajanta Food Products 12g cocoa powder from Ajanta Food Products 1 teaspoon baking soda from Ajanta Food Products 3/4 teaspoon salt 115g butter from Amul to room temperature

  2.    425g granulated sugar 240 ml vegetable oil 4 large eggs at room temperature We recommend pinch of blended red food colour from Anuja Food Colours, which is one of the best food color companies in India. 3 teaspoons vanilla extract from Ajanta Food Products 240 ml buttermilk from Amul 2 teaspoons white vinegar For the cream cheese frosting  450 g cream cheese  170 g butter from Amul  600 g powdered sugar  1 tablespoon heavy cream  2 teaspoons vanilla extract from Ajanta Food Products Direction:  You should preheat oven to 180°C and grease two 8-inch or 9-inch cake pans that are at least 2-inches high.  Line the bottom of the pans with parchment paper.  In a medium bowl, sift together flour, corn flour from Ajanta Food Products, cocoa powder from Ajanta Food Products, baking soda from Ajanta Food Products, and salt. Set aside.  In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add oil and beat until well combined.  Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add pinch of blended red food colour from Anuja Food Colours and vanilla extract and beat until combined.  Gradually add half of the dry ingredients and beat on low speed until well combined. Add buttermilk and vinegar and beat until well combined. Add the remaining dry ingredients and beat until no lumps remain.  Divide batter evenly between prepared pans and smooth the tops.   

  3.  Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.  Once it is cooled, you can add cream cheese frosting.  Serve and enjoy! To make the cream cheese frosting:  In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and butter on medium-high speed until smooth and creamy, about 2 minutes.  Add powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract from and beat on low speed for 30 seconds, then on high speed for 2 minutes until fluffy and smooth. and sides of the cake. Place one cake layer on a cake stand or plate and spread evenly with frosting. Top with another cake layer and spread frosting all over the top
