Now, it’s grown in many parts of the world. It’s commonly found at grocery stores and natural food markets. There are three main types of quinoa: black, white and red. Quinoa is a flowering plant in the amaranth family. It is grown for its nutritious seeds. The seeds can be ground up into a flour that is then used to make pasta-like products. Quinoa is a grain that is native to the Andes Mountains in South America. Inca people used it as an important crop and even referred to it as part of their religion. It has also been eaten in South America for thousands of years and it’s believed that quinoa was used by the Indians to help prevent altitude sickness.
