  8. Facts Patiala House, a 2011 Bollywood film featuring Symonds, featured a cameo appearance from the actor. The Indian reality shows Bigg Boss included Symonds as a participant in 2011. Despite being removed from Bigg Boss 5, Pooja Mishra was brought back to the show to work as a translator for Symonds. Between the 2016–17 and 2018–19 seasons, Symonds served as a guest commentator for Big Bash matches.

  9. While playing for Gloucestershire versus Glamorgan as a 20-year-old, Symonds held the world records for the most sixes hit in a first-class inning (16) and in a first-class match (20). His first-innings total of 254 not out was impressive. The decline of his cricket career in 2002 led Symonds to seriously consider making the jump to rugby league, where he had been a lifelong fan since childhood. His Wynnum Manly Seagulls side faced up against an all-star team that included Marcus Bai and Steve Renouf on June 21, 2009, when he played for the Wynnum Manly Seagulls. The Brisbane Broncos used him as a training partner as well.
