  5. For this 10-minute project, you will need a 12-gauge aluminum wire, a hammer, anvil, wire cutters, nylon pliers, and earring wires. If you are working with a coil, straighten it with pliers, cut off two equal pieces of about 1-1.5 inches. Start hammering these pieces into a flat shape, on one flat end punch in a 1/16 inch hole. This can be done using a screw down hole punch or a hand punch. Attach the earring wires to each hole and tighten them.
