Bone and Joints Health – Key to Mobility

Indian traditional medicines especially Ayurveda focuses on Health promotion so that we lead a disease-free life always. According to u201cCharak Samhitau201d (an ancient Ayurveda text) Ayurveda has two main objectives: 1st is u2018swasthasya swasthya rakshanamu201d i.e. to help the healthy person to protect & maintain his swasthya (wellness). 2nd is u201caaturasya vikar prashamanamu201d i.e., to help a diseased person to become healthy & to stay healthy forever.<br> <br>Though every system in our body is equally important. However, there is day to day wear and tears happening in our bones and joint and after the mid to late life say after 40 or 50 yrs of age majority of us suffer from bone and joint related health issues, which may be due to wear and tear, inflammation, pain etc. All these may hamper our mobilty, therefore to keep them healthy is absolutely necessary to reamin active.<br> <br>We need to take balanced diet to have appropriate nutrition with minerals and vitamins etc., especially calcium for optimum bone and joint health. Regular exercise, be it walking, jogging and running helps keeping our Bone and Joint healthy.
