4. About College Swami Vivekanand Institute of Engineering and Technology, Chandigarh established in 2004 is affiliated to IKJ-PTU Jalandhar. SVIET offers 30 courses across five streams. These include Computer Science/IT, Engineering, Management, and Pharmacy. They also offer diplomas, BBA, MBA, B.Pharma, and M.Pharma at the undergraduate and the postgraduate level. Some of the top courses offered by the institute include B.Tech, B.Sc, BBA, M.Tech, MCA and M.Sc. 

5. M.Com Degree : SVIET M.Com Master of Commerce is a postgraduate course in accounting. The course has a duration of 2-years which is divided into 4 semesters. The main aim of the course is to provide in-depth knowledge to the students in advanced accounting and commerce and prepare them for better future. Students opting M.Com are taught professional skills which helps them in landing better placement opportunities. M.Com graduates Graduate can explore their career in BFSI sector or they can also start a career in teaching as a commerce teacher or they can further go on for a PHD degree to become a college lecturer. M.com graduates also have many corporate jobs and government job opportunities.
