  1. What are the Myths and so Magical about Yoga in India? Yoga is magical and yoga is a myth which as mythological scholar described “dramatic breakthroughs of the sacred into the world”. It is a spiritual tradition for the compounding change of our behaviors with enlightened insight that brings us closer to ourselves. And this is what so magical about Yoga as it has the power to encompass the human soul in the paradigm of infinite. Each asana in Yoga transposed in myth. When Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras “Dharana, dhyana, and Samadhi” is concentrated on one object or sphere the result is samyama-deriving the deeper understanding on what we are concentrating. You derive this intensity of Yoga’s mythical power in India to which yogis called as siddhis, the supernormal state which is beyond the normal state of perception. The mythical elements of Yoga in India create the supernormal feelings but from these, you gain self-determination, unimpeded orders or commands. 1. In Indian Yoga system, there is a feeling of unpredictability or a certain kind of strangeness, as you are playing the game of chance of which you don’t know the outcome, yet you receive the outcomes. 2. In India, you derive from yoga the solutions of many materialistic problems through the creation of vibes and energy. This is a magical derivative of yoga. 3. The Yoga Vasistha teaches us about jivanmukta, a soul that is liberated while a human is living. Jiva means soul and Mukta mean liberated. And this is nothing less than a magic when the soul merges with the freedom.

  2. 4. First, you are your own teacher which you would seek within yourself. You have to find out your inner self and what is that which is most motivating you. Get into the spiritual place and deeper into the practice. 5. Yoga is taught in India with the composition of the impossible postures making humans nothing less than the pretzel. And becoming pretzel is not less than a magic display of improbability, magical and divine. 6. Yoga causes stillness and calmness in which turbulences hidden in the mental faculties are whisked out. This is nothing less than a magic. 7. Yoga retreats in India are the mythical and magical journey into the heart of yoga and the heart within you. Place your hands on your heart and feel the rhythm which is as mysterious as you would experience evoking sounds of Mantra immersing right from within your heart. 8. We gain Maya with Yoga. Maya means attainment of extreme power and wisdom. In the Vedic texts, Maya connotes a magic show which is an illusion and it also connotes that which exists, currently present but is in a process of change and spiritually so unreal. And this is the main principle of spiritual reality. 9. There is unison in the body-mind, emotions, and intellect, so if there is the disturbance in one area there would be the disturbance in other areas too. Secondly, yoga encompasses everything. 10. Yoga awakens the hidden Kundalini which means in India dormant energy is awoken which is not less than a magic.
