WHAT IS BEE CERTIFICATION

BEE Registration is the labeling certification, from 1 star to 5 stars, regarding power consumption for household electrical appliances & equipment. A highe star-rating product means higher energy-saving product. The objective of the BEE Registration is to provide information to consumers regarding the power consumption pattern of the product relatively.<br><br>BEE Registration is a rating system for household electrical appliances and equipment that ranges from one to five stars in terms of power consumption.   1. WHAT IS BEE CERTIFICATION? Under the requirements of the Energy Conservation Act, 2001, the Government of India (GoI) established the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) on March 1, 2002. BEE was established to develop policies and tactics aimed at achieving energy efficiency through self-regulation. The Ministry of Power will oversee BEE to improve delivery methods, give leadership, and develop conservation policies .So that it will lead to efficient energy preservation

MISSION OF BEE Within the overall framework of the Energy Conservation Act, 2001 (EC Act), the Bureau of Energy Efficiency's mission is to develop policy and strategies with a focus on self-regulation and market principles, with the primary goal of reducing the Indian economy's energy intensity. This will be accomplished with the active participation of all stakeholders, resulting in rapid and long-term progress And adoption of energy efficiency in all sectors of the economy.

TYPES OF BEE LABELS • Endorsement Label • Comparative Label Endorsement Label:When compared to worldwide standards, the above mark allows consumers to confirm that energy efficiency standards are high. Comparative Label: A Comparative Label would be placed to products, allowing buyers to compare the many made products. The items would be compared as a result of this, and the consumer would be able to make an informed decision.

BEE CERTIFICATION PROCESS • First Technical documentation and samples are sent to a NABL-accredited lab for testing and receive the results. • Compile the required documentation and register the brand on the BEE site, as well as pay the security deposit amount online. • Submit a hard copy of the application to BEE, along with all attachments, duly signed by the Authorized Signatory. • BEE will activate the connection for model registration once the brand/company registration has been approved. • Submit a hard copy of the application, along with all enclosures fully signed by the Authorized Signatory and a BEE Label Specimen, if applicable. • If BEE requests clarification or additional information, please provide it.
