In addition to being delighted by all these gifts of nature, you’ll also feel at home with the heart-warming hospitality of the locals, also called ‘Bajans’. While there’s much to see and do during the day on the island, the real excitement awaits you in the form of a thrilling nightlife in this part of the world after sunset. From December to April, there’s a heavy rush of tourists to this island nation and it is nearly impossible for you to get low-cost hotel accommodations. In the months of May and June, tourist crowds begin to decrease and your chances of enjoying cheap Barbados holidays steadily increase with a fall in the room rates of hotels. The rates of airfares and hotel accommodations continue to decrease as the hurricane season approaches.

You can also witness the corals and marine life underwater with scuba diving expeditions. Parasailing is yet another exciting activity you can enjoy during your time spent in this island country. It takes you to heights of about 250 feet above the Caribbean Sea, from where you can enjoy some awe-inspiring views. While in Barbados, you can also go hiking through tropical forests, cane fields, and gullies and explore some unique aspects of the island.

The Cou Cou is prepared using okra and cornmeal, while the flying fish is cooked with salt, pepper, and special Bajan seasoning. Another savoury dish is the Fish Cake, made with fish, spices, and local herbs and served with pepper sauce. You can also try Conkies, a sweet dish made by mixing cornflour with sugar, pumpkin, coconut, and some cherries or raisins.
