  1. SSC Stenographer Recruitment Stenographers recruited by SSC are meant to be posted as Personal Assistants to officers of various Central Government Departments /Ministries/ organization of the government of India. Stenographers are recruited to Grades ‘C’ and ‘D’, Stenographer Grade C post carries a higher pay matrix whereas Stenographer Grade D are posted to middle-level officers and higher responsibilities and are posted to Senior Officers.

  2. How to Apply for SSC Stenographer 2018? • Candidate should read the read the instruction given in the SSC Online Recruitment Details Notice carefully before filling up the application form. • Go to http://www.ssc.nic.in >Apply>Stenographer. • Candidates should now move to the Registration Part and fill the online application form with basic information like name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender, permanent address, category, etc. • On submission of these details, candidates shall be prompted to check the details and make any correction in the registration. • After the submission of the Application Form, you will be provided with a Registration ID and password. Note it down safely (will be used later anything regarding changes or when downloading admit card). • Now candidates are required to pay the application fee and upload their latest color signature and photograph.Thesignature must be uploaded in JPG format and the size of the signature file must be between 1 kB and less than 12 kB. The Photographs size must be more than 4 kB and less than 12 kB.

SSC Stenographer Eligibility Criteria • Nationality/ Citizenship • Candidate must be either a citizen of India/Nepal/Bhutan. • Candidates must be a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or • Candidates must be a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Zanzibar and Tanganyika), Zaire, Zambia, Malawi, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

  4. Age Limit • Candidates must be 18-27 years as on 01.08.2018 i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1991 and not later than 01.08.2000. • SSC Stenographer Educational Qualification • To apply for the posts of (Grade C and D) SSC Stenographer 2018, Candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent from a recognized Board or University. Candidates who have not acquired the educational qualification till now but will acquire documentary evidence from the Board/University as on 01.08.2018 will also be eligible.

  6. SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern • SSC Stenographer Paper Iwill be 200 questions which means each question is equal to 1 mark. The examwillbe a Computer Based Examination and the total marks in this paper is 200. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer, therefore, candidates are advised to keep this in mind while answering the question.
