18-8 or AISI 304 is Non-magnetic grade of Stainless Steel It has maximum carbon content of 0.08% Can be hardened by cold working It can not be hardened by heat treatment Contains 18% chromium (Cr) and 8% nickel (Ni)
18-8 Stainless Steel Properties include outstanding corrosion resistance, non-magnetic nature and hardenability. Stainless steel 18 8 yield strength is 205 MPa. 18 8 stainless steel composition contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel along with small amounts of carbon, manganese, silicon, and other trace elements.
