Literacy and level of education are basic indicators of the level of development achieved by a society. Spread of literacy is generally associated with important traits of modern civilization such as modernization, urbanization, industrialization, communication and commerce. Literacy forms an important input in overall development of individuals enabling them to comprehend their social, political and cultural environment better and respond to it appropriately. Higher levels of education and literacy lead to a greater awareness and also contributes in improvement of economic and social conditions. It acts as a catalyst for social upliftment enhancing the returns on investment made in almost every aspect of development effort, be it population control, health, hygiene, environmental degradation control, employment of weaker sections of the society.

  2. Literacy: • Literacy and level of education are basic indicators of the level of development achieved by a society. Spread of literacy is generally associated with important traits of modern civilization such as modernization, urbanization, industrialization, communication and commerce. Literacy forms an important input in overall development of individuals enabling them to comprehend their social, political and cultural environment better and respond to it appropriately. Higher levels of education and literacy lead to a greater awareness and also contributes in improvement of economic and social conditions. It acts as a catalyst for social upliftment enhancing the returns on investment made in almost every aspect of development effort, be it population control, health, hygiene, environmental degradation control, employment of weaker sections of the society.

  3. Literacy: • Education is a way towards a developed nation and by investing in girl’s education we are creating better future for the daughters of the country. Once a girl gets educate the whole family gets educated. An educated girl will drive change by looking after every member of her family. She would be aware of her rights and would stand up for them. She will even empower herself and the community. • Education is an integral part of leading a successful life today; without proper education we cannot survive in this world. Education equips us to face the challenges that life throws at us. Our knowledge gets enhanced and we are prepared to utilize the skills.

  4. Literacy: • We need to improve with time and not be stuck in our age old ways of only males of family trying to earn the bread and thus only males getting education. We should allow everyone to get education and improve their lives and fulfill their dreams.

  5. Educational NGO: • Nanhikali is one such NGO that supports the education of girl child and making them self-sufficient. They have not only given them an opportunity to study but also provided them employment opportunity while continuing their higher education. There are many proud Nanhikalis’ who have become self-reliant all thanks to this NGOs great work.
