  1. Does everybody just order food online these days? There’s too much traffic. It’s too noisy outside. I need to finish binge-watching my favourite shows. It’s too hot out there. Too many people. Who will waste so much time. All popular excuses we hear so very often these days. Are people becoming lazier or is it just a matter of time and convenience. Why do people choose to order food onlineas opposed to going out to eat. Here are some popular reasons: It’s cheaper: With new food delivery apps cropping up every year, offering so many discounts, it’s simply cheaper to order online. The logic here seems to be, why waste more time, money, fuel etc. when you can order food online and get it delivered to your doorstep at a discounted rate. It’s convenient: With apps making their UIs more and more user friendly, it’s has become very convenient to order food online. Just a few clicks and less than half an hour later piping hot food is at your doorstep. These apps also make payment so convenient with flexible options such as online wallets, card payment, cash on delivery etc. It’s time saving: While there still is a certain charm attached to getting dressed and going out to celebrate on occasions, for daily needs, people seem to prefer the order food online option because they think it’s a waste of time get ready, then wade through all that traffic, wait to be seated at the restaurant, waste more time coming back home etc. It’s comfortable: If it’s not the weekend and not an occasion or reason to celebrate, why not just eat in your pyjamas while streaming your favorite shows online. Eat in the comfort of your home, cozy on your couch while binging on your favorite shows. Because now, you can. So why not. More choices: When you go out to eat, and you have a particular area or location in mind, you are offered few choices. Even if it happens to be a famous food street or a popular area for restaurants, choices are still limited. When you order food online, you have the option of ordering from a bigger pool of restaurants and eateries, you also get to compare prices, quality, ratings etc. There is also the added advantage of checking user ratings on features such as quality, quantity, variety etc. So there you have it. It’s easy, convenient, comfortable and faster. Ordering food online offers more choice, more variety and the super important feature of comparing between restaurants.
