  1. Bringing Next-Gen RFID Automation for Library Management

  2. Present Pain Areas in Library Management • Tedious inventory taking process. • Book issue & returns to/from patrons takes considerable time since it is a manual paper based process – patron queuing problems. • Lack of visibility to book availability and their location as inventory taking is done once a year. • Unauthorized movement of books outside the library by non-members.

  3. Orizin Proposed Solution – RFID TECHNOLOGY • RFID is a wireless technology that is being used for tracking, security and inventory taking process of books. • With this technology every book whether stationary or moving can be networked and identified without the need of line of sight. • All communication happens through two type of sensors called reader and tag/label • Tags are tiny sensors that are pasted on books. They have a unique identification number making the book on which it is placed ‘unique’ and also some limited memory to store necessary data like book id, UID no etc. • Reader is a device that can sense tags around its field, communicate with them and transmit the tag’s data to the LAN/internet
