    27. Legislative Issues NCFS Bridge Program Continued for 09-10 studied for feasibility. 501 C-4 Organizations not eligible for sales tax Bill passed to keep organizations funded NCCCS Regional Coordinators Loss of all coordinators re-instating 3 positions. 1 per region.

Legislative Issues Removal of fee exemptions for fire/rescue/EMS Volunteers Fee Exemption Reinstated All Public Safety Reinstated Change of fee exemption for fallen public safety officer dependent at CC only NCSFA will cover difference Emergency Management loosing all field staff and programs Property transfer fee will reinstate all staff and programs

Legislative Issues Where we are so far The House and Senate are still in conferees attempting to reconcile the budget We have been able to have all things put back in the budget we have requested What got us here Communicating and Educating our legislatures All speaking as one voice together speaking the same thing Being nice and appreciative
