  2. Step 1 : • Draw shape of the blade on graph paper. • Always try to be creative while making your blade design but should be practically and functionally correct. • Decide the length of the blade • Design the tang.

  3. Step 2 : Material and Tools Needed • Carbon Steel • You can also use knife making supplies. • Handle material • Hacksaw, drilling machine, a vise • Make sure to wear protective eye wear.

  4. Step 3 : • Now use your hacksaw to the metal sheet. • Grind the profile- remove the access metal from the sheet. • Grind the edge. • Drill the rivet holes. • Finish the blade by using fine sand paper.

  5. Step 4 : Forging • Forge the blade using coal or gas. • Heat the blade- Keep it heating until the metal is orange. When steel reaches the correct temperature it will lose its magnetic property, check it by tapping against magnet.

  6. Step 5 : Making Handle • Cut out the handle pieces. For full tang knife two pieces of wood will be used one for each side of blade. • Drill the holes for rivet on each side and use epoxy to attach them. Let it dry for the complete day. • Use saw to make final finish and adjustments of your knife.
