  2. What is On-Campus Recruiting? • the opportunity to interview with a large number of companies here on campus (these are fairly competitive 1st round interviews) • job postings • resume referrals • targeted emails

  3. What is TigerTracks? An online campus-recruiting management system powered by Experience.com that: • allows you to store your application documents all in one place • allows you to track your applications and interviews • allows employers to post jobs and review resumes • allows us to manage the recruiting process, advertise events on the calendar and send you targeted emails about job opportunities

  4. Accounting Arts/Entertainment Communications/ Media Construction Consulting Consumer Products Education/Academia Energy/Utilities Engineering Environment Finance/Banking Government Law Manufacturing Non-Profit Pharmaceutical Research Retail/Merchandising Technology Wholesale Who Recruits at Princeton? In 2005-2006, over 200 employers recruited on campus.

  5. What to Expect – 1st Round Interviews • On-Campus (201 Nassau St., Nassau Inn) • 30-45 Minute Format • Back-to-Back Interviews • Feedback

  6. Cancellation Policy Students can cancel an interview directly though TigerTracks with at least 2 business days notice. To cancel an interview within 2 business days of the interview date, students must call Career Services. Cancellations made on the day of the interview are strongly discouraged and will require a student to call Career Services and to submit a letter of apology to the employer; a copy of the letter must also be sent to Anthony Chiappetta, Associate Director for Recruitment and Employer Relations, in the Office of Career Services. Without 2 business days notice, attending a 2nd round interview will not be considered a valid reason to cancel a previously scheduled 1st round interview.

  7. No-Show Policy No shows will not be tolerated. If a student is a “no show” for an interview, he/she must submit a letter of apology to the employer within 24 hours. A copy of the letter must also be submitted to Anthony Chiappetta, Associate Director for Recruitment and Employer Relations, with an explanation provided as to why the student missed the interview. A determination will be made by the Office of Career Services as to whether the student may continue to participate in the program based upon the individual circumstance. If a valid explanation is not provided or if a student is a no show for a 2nd time, he/she will be dismissed from the recruiting program and will be removed from all subsequent interview schedules. Attending a 2nd round interview will not be considered a valid reason to miss a previously scheduled 1st round interview.

  8. Offer Policy - Acceptances • We encourage a reasonable time frame for acceptances and prohibit any practice that improperly influences and affects job acceptances (e.g., exploding offers to induce early acceptances). • If employers make full-time offers at the end of the summer to interns, we ask that they give the interns until December 1 to make a decision, so that these students may participate in fall on-campus recruiting. If employers make internship offers to interns to return for a second internship the following summer, we ask that they give the interns until March 1 to make a decision, so the students may participate in spring on-campus recruiting. • We ask that organizations that make offers to students through fall recruiting (prior to Dec. 31) give students until January 1 to make a decision. • For offers made on or after January 1, students should be given 1 month to decide.

  9. Offer Policy - Reneging Any student who has reneged on the acceptance of an offer obtained through the On-Campus Recruiting program will be immediately suspended from the program. Once you have accepted an employment offer, you are no longer eligible to apply for positions or to attend any previously scheduled interviews. If there are special circumstances surrounding your decision to accept or to decline an employment offer, such as the need for more time to make a decision, we strongly recommend that you contact Anthony Chiappetta for assistance with your decision-making process.
