    2. Wayne Thiebaud (1920- ) Pop Artist Born in Arizona Early in his career he worked as an animator for Walt Disney. Graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor of Art and MA degrees. He lives in Sacramento and has taught at UC Davis.

    8. Pop Artist Born in Sweden in 1929 Moved to Chicago in 1936 Worked as a reporter and attended the Art Institute He developed the technique of soft sculpture which often gave a realistic effect to his work. He made his sculptures larger than life size, but used rather realist colors.

    12. Collage of Fruit and Vegetables Draw contour drawings of several different fruits and vegetables, then cut out. Choose appropriate colors of paper for each fruit and vegetable. Trace your contour drawings on color paper then cut out several of each. Plan your composition by grouping your items closely together, letting them be stacked, in rows, and overlapping. When you are satisfied with your arrangement, paste the pieces down. Use your Shapie to outline the edges of the fruit and vegetables to accent their shapes.
