  6. Is my firm eligible to do business with GDOT as a certified DBE? The difference between DBE Certification, Prime Contractor Prequalification, and Subcontractor Registration MH MILES COMPANY, CPA, PC

  7. DBE Certification • Successfully completed the DBE application & site review process • Received a letter from GDOT’s EEO office confirming DBE Certification with assigned NAICS code(s) and GDOT Vendor # • Listed in GDOT’s DBE Directory MH MILES COMPANY, CPA, PC

  8. Maintaining DBE Certification • Update EEO office with any changes regarding business size, control, ownership, and personal net worth annually. • Failure to update information and/or complete and submit a “No Change” affidavit to the EEO office will result in decertification. • If your firm is decertified you will not be eligible to reapply for DBE certification for 1 year.   10. Effective April 2009 • ALL Contractors (DBE & NON-DBE) MUST be Prequalified as a Prime Contactor OR Registered as a Subcontractor • DBEs grandfathered for 2-year period ending April 2011 • DBE Certification alone does not make you eligible to do business with GDOT. MH MILES COMPANY, CPA, PC

  11. Effective April 18, 2011- ALL CONTRACTORS • If you are not registered as subcontractor with GDOT or if your completed Subcontractor Registration application (FORM 478) is not received by GDOT’s Office of Construction, you will not be eligible to perform on GDOT contracts. • Removed from all existing GDOT contracts • Ineligible for selection for future GDOT contracts • All incomplete applications will be rejected requiring complete resubmission for processing.   12. Prime Contractors • Prime Contractors desiring to submit a bid for a contract in excess of $2,000,000 must be prequalified. • Complete form 477 & 478 MH MILES COMPANY, CPA, PC

  13. Am I eligible to do business with GDOT as a certified DBE/WBE Contractor? DBE Certification, and • Subcontractor Registration (Form 478) or  Prime Contractor Prequalification (Form 477 & 478) – Contracts in excess of $2M MH MILES COMPANY, CPA, PC
