  1. Breaking the Cycle of Exploitation: Muslim Charity’s Mission in Daulatdia A Place of Despair and Hope Daulatdia, one of the largest brothel communities in the world, is home to over 1,500 sex workers and numerous children of brothels. Most women here were forced into sex work due to poverty, exploitation or trafficking. Their children, born into a world of hardship, grow up surrounded by stigma, denied basic rights like education and safety. For years, these women and children have struggled in silence, but Muslim Charity is giving them a voice. Since 2019, we have been working in Daulatdia to bring hope and dignity through education for children and alternative livelihoods for women.

  2. Creating a Brighter Future for Children For the brothel children of Daulatdia, life is a daily struggle against hunger, neglect and the absence of basic rights. In 2019, Muslim Charity established a Day Care Centre to offer these children safety and support. The centre focuses on children under the age of eight, giving them access to proper meals, clean clothing and early education.

  3. The Day Care Centre is not just a place for care, it is a foundation for change. By preparing children for formal schooling, it helps them take their first steps toward breaking the generational cycle of poverty. For many, this is the only chance to escape the difficult circumstances into which they were born. As the children grow older, Muslim Charity continues its support through a dedicated Child Club. This programme offers guidance and academic help to students from grades six to ten, giving them the tools to succeed in school and beyond. By nurturing their potential, Muslim Charity aims to empower these children to build a future far removed from the challenges of their early years. Helping Women Reclaim Their Lives The women of Daulatdia endure unimaginable hardships. Many were forced into sex work as a last resort to provide for their families. Without external support, the prospect of leaving such a life behind feels impossible.

  4. Muslim Charity is changing this reality through its Livelihood Support Programme. This initiative provides women with the resources they need to leave sex work and build a new life. In its first phase, nine women have been selected to receive land registered in their names, safe housing and training to start small businesses. These women, long denied the dignity they deserve, are finally being given a chance to live independently. A second phase will extend the same support to nine more women, ensuring the programme’s impact continues to grow. For these women, this is not just a programme, it is a lifeline. It offers them hope, stability, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives on their own terms, while also securing a brighter future for their children. Why Your Support is Crucial Muslim Charity’s work in Daulatdia is making a real difference, but the need remains vast. Thousands of women and children still live in extreme poverty, facing challenges that no one should have to endure. With your support, these life-changing programmes can reach even more people. Every donation helps provide care and education to children, empower women with new opportunities, and break the cycle of exploitation. Your contribution is not just financial, it is an act of solidarity with those who need it most.
