Know your fish! Be aware that many predatory reef fish in the BVI have Ciguatera poisoning which can give you nasty food poisoning. If you want to catch and eat a fish, avoid barracuda, snapper, jacks, triggerfish and parrotfish.

  7. Fishing Permits The removal of any marine organism from BVI waters is illegal for non-BVIslanders without a recreational fishing permit. WE CAN ORGANISE YOUR PERMIT FOR YOU! We can organise your permit from start to finish for a total of $60 per permit. We require your scanned passport information a minimum of 48 hours prior to your charter. If you also rent fishing gear from us, the total is $55 per permit.

  8. ORGANISE YOUR OWN PERMIT Government charge is $45 and it is valid for 1 month. Contact the Bvi Government on +1 284 468 3701 and ask for Conservation & Fisheries. Pls note, Children under the age of 18 yrs are not required to have a permit, nor those who will only be fishing from shore.
