Ear surgery or Otoplasty is meant for the improving the physical appearance of an ear. This is done by modifying the size, position or proportion of the ears. It is of two types ie Tympanoplasty and Myringotomy. This treatment has no side effects and is undertaken by a myriad of people every year.

  3. Types of Ear Surgery Ear Surgery is of two types: • Tympanoplasty • Myringotomy

  4. Tympanoplasty Tympanoplasty is meant for the reconstruction of the eardrum or the small bones located in the middle ear.

  5. Myringotomy Myringotomy involves making a tiny incision in the eardrum for removing excessive or pus from the middle ear.
