  1. Thinking of Keeping your Outdoor Spaces Clean and Sparkling? Do that with these Handy Pool-Cleaning Tips! So you have a pool? Well chances, your pool needs adequate maintainence in terms of changing filters, time to time vacuuming, skimming, water and pH levels and so on. So you know keeping up with routine maintenance is a must sure can be a real pain when all you want to do is enjoy your pool. Here are four hacks you can use to keep your pool clean — and make your summer a bit more relaxing. Supercharge Baskets Skimmer baskets do a great job filtering out leaves and debris from your pool. So if you’re wondering how to make that skimmer work harder? Take a pair of pantyhose and wrap them around the baskets. Remember to clean out the baskets every week, and skim the surface for large debris as need be. Voila Baking Soda does the Magic! A pound of baking soda is equivalent to a pound of any alkaline product and is a fraction of the cost. Baking soda is a powerhouse it can be used for cleaning, freshening clothes, and even cleaning your pool! Now that’s new! Make sure you check your pool’s pH levels once or twice a week, Bonus: Make a paste of baking soda and water to clean the tile and grout in your pool. Do this about once a week to prevent algae from growing. Get Those Tennis Balls Rolling! From sunscreen and makeup to hair products and body oil, dirt is bound to build up in your pool. So place a few new tennis balls in the water, or stick them in the skimmers so they’re out of sight. These tennis balls absorb the grime and oil, giving you crystal-clear water! Bathing Suits is a Must Clothing will do no harm. But fibers fray and dyes can bleed when in contact with chlorine, which can make your pool cloudy over time. Make it a rule that only bathing suits are allowed. A pool party gets a little rowdy and soon everybody’s fully clothed in the pool. Seems like a lot of work? Right? With all the dirt in your pool just cleaning the surface and occasional vacuuming to remove any debris from the bottom isn’t enough but the aforementioned should do the trick!
