What more can you ask for –getting paid for doing what you love.”- Tiger Woods (Eldrick Woods) Early life of champion tiger woods Eldrick Woods, now known as Tiger Woods was born on 30 December 1975 in Cypress, California. His father was an African-American whereas, her mother was Thai. Tiger was born with the talent and was only two when he started showcasing his skills in the ‘Good Morning America’ television show. At the age of three, he used to shoot a 48 over nine holes. At the age of 15, he won the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship and the Junior Amateur title consecutively in 1992 and 1993 but lost the next championship with 6 holes. Honors At the 1997 Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia, Woods shot a tournament-record of 270 over 72 holes and finished 12 strokes ahead of the rest of the field in one of the most dominating performances in the history of professional golf.
