There has been numerous medical treatments and home remedies for hair loss, hair re-growth are floating around internet. • And it’s a sad thing that most of them are just rumors, fake promises and some are useful yet impractical. Since 2010 hair transplant in Kolkatahas shifted it’s gear. Dr. Anand K Nagwaniis one of the pioneer who took the responsibility to aware people about true facts of hair loss, scalp treatment, re-growth, hair transplantation & PRP treatment.

  3. Birth control pills content estrogen and progestin hormone. There are two different situation: First situation arises after start taking pills. Second situation arises after stop taking pills

  4. Interesting Fact: Hair shedding can be associated with stopping of birth control pills. Two different types of patients - First, who are having predisposing factors for androgenic alopecia. Second, who are not having predisposing factors for androgenic alopecia For many persons the scalp hair shedding occurs with 1-2 months after stopping birth control pills and usually hair shedding returns to near normal within 6-12 months and hair density as well as thinning of hairs returns to normal.

  6. First situation - in which no real increased shedding of hairs at all so patients usually didn't pointed out any changes in her hair density and thinning. Second situation - there is initial hair shedding but usually their hair density return to normal after 6-12 months of stopping of pills. Above two mentioned situation are commonly pointed out in patient not having strong predisposing androgenic alopecia.

  7. Third situation - these ladies usually have good hair density but they realize at 6-12 months later that her neither hair density nor thickness has not returned. Forth situation - these patient some genetic hair loss was present before starting of pills but unable to realize but mild loss of hair density and thinner hair. In these patient rather help occurred due to starting of pills but patient was not using it for hair loss but situation entirely changed after stopping pills. This occured due to an underlying predisposition to androgenetic hair loss.

  8. It is important for both patients as well as physicians should know the different possibilities like of genes that may exist with hair loss when birth control is start or stopped.
