  2. Dr. Hania Armengol Ottawa About Personal Journey Contact Dr. Hania Armengol, N.D., was born in Managua, Nicaragua. When she 4 years old she was paralyzed. Her family took her to the best neurosurgeons and medical doctors in Nicaragua, Mexico and finally Houston. Their prognosis was not positive: she would spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair. It was her journey to recovery using natural therapies and yoga that led her to study Naturopathic Medicine and a relentless pursuit of healing methods.
