  2. Meet the Owners Owners and Directors Daryl Moss, Jeff Robinson and Nathalie Moss have over 75 years of combined camp and teaching experience and together have worked with thousands of families to provide a diverse sports and camp program in a safe environment.

  3. Our Mission Canyon Creek Summer Camp provides a safe, non-competitive environment where boys and girls build confidence and independence, learn teamwork and develop problem-solving skills. A premier California Summer Camp.

Our Camp Site Nestled in the Angeles National Forest, Canyon Creek Summer Camp is a completely self-contained Los Angeles Summer Camp only an hours drive from the heart of LA. and only 20 minutes from beautiful Castaic Lake. Our 81-acre camp site features prime athletic facilities, state of the art equipment and the ideal setting for children to escape the distractions of city life. Through dedication to our camp families, and steadfast commitment to our campers, Canyon Creek is proud to be among the top resident California Summer Camps.

  5. Our Staff Canyon Creek is proud to hire former campers who bring the energy, positivity, and perspective they learned growing up at camp. This has helped create the family dynamic that makes Canyon Creek the best summer camp in California! Over 25% of our counselors are former Assistant Counselors and CIT’s.

  6. International Recruitment Having an international staff is a huge benefit for our camp community. Campers are able to gain positive life experiences from various cultures around the world. Campers learn about holidays, languages, food, customs, and so much more from their counselors! Canyon Creek has staff from England, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and South Africa!

  7. The Hiring Process for New Staff The owners and directors are involved in every step of the interview process. We always interview in person if possible. If an in person interview is not possible, the owners and directors will conduct a Skype meeting.

  8. Returning Staff Hiring Process Returning counselors are re-interviewed every year! During this process, the owners and directors work with counselors to identify strengths and weaknesses from the prior summer. Third year counselors go through goal-setting meetings with the owners. At Canyon Creek, we set our staff up for success so they can be the best leader possible for our campers!

  9. Staff Training Counselors attend an intensive week-long training that includes first aid and CPR certification, child psychology and counselor conduct seminars, conflict resolution strategies, situational role playing exercises, and introductions to the newest games and activities.
