  2. Borma, cashew dryer, tray dryer, steam dryer • Shelled skin on kernels is air dried to loosen the testa to enable peeling of the skin and helps l minimize broken % generation in the peeling process. Cashew Nut Dryer also removes tanning and reduces humidity content inside the kernel.

  3. Shelled skin on kernels are to be heat treated in an oven, say at 70 to 80 C for 8 to 10 hours to loosen the skin/testa covering the kernel for ease of peeling. • The borma / dryer consists of a trolley to hold 25 trays; each tray can hold about 5 kg of Cashew kernel. • Borma / Dryers are available in 250 / 500 / 1000 &amp; 2000 kg nominal capacity. • The temperature of the borma / dryer can be controlled by Digital Temperature and Timer control for accurate heating and temperature and time control. • Borma / Dryer can be heated by electrical power, wood firing, LPG heating or steam heating.
