  1. Origins and Fundamentals behind the Science of Acupuncture The way most of the people understand acupuncture has led a wrong notion about the treatment. It is not the way to treat the pain by inserting needles and increasing the pain which can help the body to feel normal. There is a deeper science into it. As we know that every object has some energy into it, which is proof of its existence. Similarly our body has energy, pain in body is one of the forms of imbalanced energy levels in the body. It is a complete medical protocol that focuses on balancing the energy level in the body. Since its inception around 2500 years ago, it has been widely used to prevent, diagnose and treat many diseases. It is also used to simply keep the energy levels up and improve the general health. The energy channels circulate throughout the body and connect to all the organs, like a network of river and streams that when harmonized flow freely but when there is disturbance can cause blockages and a disruption in the flow of chi (energy) in the channels that result in symptoms. The origins of Acupuncture It is believed that art of acupuncture dulwichs spans across eras, all the way to the stone age. Away from the common belief the records of use of Acupuncture are found in many parts of the world not just in the eastern asia. The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine, a Chinese medical compendium is the oldest written record about this scientific technique. It is believed that this book was written during the rule of Emperor Huang Di in 2500 BC. Many evidences are found in ancient Egypt, Persia, India, Sri Lanka, parts of Europe, and South America of its practice. Eskimos are known to use the sharpened stones for treatments, which is quite similar to the concept of the needles. The Ebers papyrus of 1,550 B.C. describes a physical system of channels and vessels that is closely matched to the Chinese system of meridians. Fundamentals of Acupuncture According to traditional Chinese medicine, body is a cohesive and a complex system where everything is interconnected. Effect of one part in body will have its impact on other parts too. Pain in your eyes, will also cause some headache or some pain in ears. Their basic principle is that lack of balance within the system of body leads to all illness. When you are unwell, your bosy shows its signs. If you don’t treat it in early stage that becomes chronic, that is why rebalancing of body’s energy is needed so that body can treat itself regain the composure. There is a regular flow of chi (energy) in the body through different channels, which carries it to all the parts including cells. A healthy body is result of this balanced and unhindered flow of energy in the body. Any hinderance of this energy due to any reason can cause the pain and illness. The concept of acupuncture west dulwich come here as a gate that lets this obstructed energy to pass through it and cure the body. The insertion of a thin needle in the area which has clogging of chi (energy), allows chi to flow again smoothly. As this chi flows through the body, it rejuvenates the body and gets the optimal level of health needed to work. http://www.safflowerhealthcare.co.uk/
