  2. WHY? WHY IS PRESERVATION AND PROPER STORAGE OF YOUR HERB IS IMPORTANT? Though more people are becoming aware of the benefits of our favorite herb, only a few of them know how to preserve and store it. But to keep the weed effective for a longer time, you must store it properly. To make your sesh fun and enjoyable, preservation is as important as selecting the right strain of weed.

  3. HOW? HOW TO PRESERVE AND STORE YOUR HERB TO KEEP IT EFFECTIVE FOR LONG?

  4. TIP 1: TEMPERATURE Among the many tips, the very first tip is to keep it cool. Warm temperatures may lead to the growth of molds and mildews, and too much heat will extract the oil content, and dry out your herb. When weed is too dry, it gives out harsh smoke. So, it is better to keep it in a dry and cool place. Room temperature away from the sun is perfect.

  5. TIP 2: HUMIDITY CONTROL Keeping your herb in a controlled environment ensures that the efficacy, aroma, and flavor stay intact. Too little humidity will make your herb lose its efficacy to evaporation, and too humid will attract nasty mildew. Better to throw away. So, keep your herb in a container with humidity control mechanism. Just like the Boveda Humidity Controller

  6. TIP 3: NO PLASTIC Plastic containers have chemicals like Phthalates and BPA. If you keep the weed in those containers, the chemicals can leach into your weed, making it unsafe to consume. While Phthalates affect hormones and your endocrine system, BPA (Bisphenol A) affects brain tissue. Even then, you want a plastic container, make sure they are BPA and Phthalate free. Also, many people like to keep weed in plastic bags or pouches, which is again not good for your herb. This compresses your nugs and rubs the trichomes off the leaf, and they stick to the bag.   7. TIP 4: AIR TIGHT Air-tight storage bottles are a great way to keep your cannabis fresh and flavorful. When you say fresh, it means the herb has no reaction from outside, and its chemical make-up is not altered. The right size of an air-tight container makes sure that you neither have too much nor too little room for air.   8. TIP 5: PROTECTION FROM UV Ultra Violet light rays quickly degrade the quality of your herb. To retain its potency, and flavor, you must keep it out of direct sun light.   9. TIP 6: STORE SEPARATE Always remember to keep your stash away from your device, no matter what you are using. Also, you must keep the different strains in different containers to maintain the flavor of each one.
