  3. ABOUTUNIVERSITY Christ University has produced students who have gained national fame. The notable alumni include personalities like M.N Reddy and Vineeth Vincent, among others. The university though it started as an autonomous college, gained recognition as deemed to be a university in 2008. The college furthermore enjoys grade A accreditation from NAAC. Presently, the institute tutors as many as 18000 students majorities of which include UG level students. Moreover, 800+ faculties work round the clock to tutor these students. Furthermore, the university has expanded in recent years its operation out of Bangalore as well. Campus Located in the central part of Bangalore in Hosur, the campus sits on a space of 25 acres and additionally enjoys the area of 100 acres as a part of the Dharma ram college. Additionally, the university opened its second campus in Bangalore in 2009 at Ken Geri Bangalore

  4. Placements The placement cell (center of placement and guidance) at Christ University develops relations between companies and organizations. The cell continually focuses on improving industrial relations. Courses and Programs Altogether the institute offers as many as 25 programs which range from UG to M.Phil. and Ph.D. Furthermore, the college offers numerous courses and specializations among its courses. Extensions The university presently has three campuses; however, among the three campuses, Bangalore's main campus has two more extensions. Main Campus: The main campus is the heart and soul of the university. With the main administration sitting at the main campus, it also oversees the other campuses. The main campus is situated at Hosur near Dairy Circle. Bannerghatta Campus: The Banergatta campus mainly focuses on teaching management and social sciences. Thus courses available on this campus are in BBA, MBA, and other management-related studies. Ken Geri Campus: The Ken Geri campus is 25 KM away from the main campus and primarily focuses on engineering and related studies. Moreover, this campus is the biggest among all three campuses in Bangalore.

HISTORY • A brief historical timeline of the Christ Univesity is as follows • 1969 Christ college established as per the vision of St Kuriakose Elias Chavara • 1997 the college starts its placement cell. • 2004 the institute gain recognition as an autonomous college • 2006 UGC recognizes christ college as an institute with the potential for excellence. • In 2008 the institute gained recognition as the deemed university, therefore now known as Christ University. • Moreover, from time to time, the university expanded its campuses, and scopes initially started in Bangalore; now, the university has campuses in Delhi, Pune, and a few extension campuses in Bangalore.
