  3. ABOUT UNIVERSITY The Dravidian University came into existence in the year 1997 by an act of the parliament. It is a State University established by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The institute offers full-time degrees in various fields such as management, science, computer application, physical education, and so on. These courses normally last from two to four years. Located in Srinivasanam, Andhra Pradesh, this University offers its students 60 courses with a total of 1980 seats. The Chancellor of this University is the Governor of Andhra Pradesh.

  5. HISTORY The Government of Andhra Pradesh established the Dravidian University in the year 1997. It is a public or government institute which came into existence by an Act of the parliament. The government of the states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka provided support in the development of the initial stages of the University. The institute initially functioned with two departments in the year 1998. However, at present, the institute has more than 23 departments and six research centers. Additionally, the Chancellor of this institute is the Governor of Andhra Pradesh.

  7. INFRASTRUCTURE Library: The institute has a huge library with a capacity of around 180 students at a time. The library has more than seventy-six thousand books and volumes in various subjects such as commerce, science, electronics, management, and so on. Moreover, the University provides its students with a massive collection of journals, magazines, and newspapers. In addition to that, e-commerce learning is also provided to students through various platforms and resources. These books give the students with the additional knowledge they need to stand out.  Hostel: Dravidian University provides accommodation to its students through its hostel facility. The institute has two hostels, among which one is for girls while the other is for boys. Each room is provided with all the basic facilities like a bed, fan, closet, desk and so on. However, the students in this University get accommodation based on the availability as well as the distance of their hometown. Additionally, the students staying in this hostel get free Wi-Fi facilities.

  8. INFRASTRUCTURE Sports Facilities: The University provides various sports facilities to its students, such as badminton courts, basketball courts, cricket grounds, and football grounds. In addition to that, the institute also has a hockey, swimming pool, and tennis court for its students. Moreover, the campus also has a volleyball court, table tennis, athletics, weight lifting, shooting, gymnastics, and many more sports facilities in its campus. The students get various opportunities to showcase their skills and win, such as inter-college and inter-departmental competitions and events. Labs: Classrooms and exams provide students with theoretical learning. But in real life, practical learning is more important. Keeping this in mind, the Dravidian University offers various lab facilities to its students to facilitate growth and learning. However, the institute has two labs on its campus, such as a computer lab and a language lab. These labs prove to be very useful during research and provide the students with the additional knowledge they need to stand out.

  10. COURSES OFFERED Master of Computer Application: Dravidian University offers a full-time master of computer application course to its students. This course is commonly known as Master of Computer Application or MCA. Additionally, this course lasts for two years with 25,000 as its fees. The admission in this course is based on the result in entrance exams such as APICET. Master of Science: The institute offers post-graduation level courses in the field of IT & Software. The University offers its students a full-time Master of Science course in computer science. Additionally, this a two-year program that is accredited by NAAC 'B' Grade. This course is also known as M.Sc. in computer science.

  11. COURSES OFFERED Master of Business Administration: The Dravidian University, Srinivasanam, offers a full-time Masters of Business Administration course to its students. This is a two-year program with a total of 54,000 rupees. On completion of this program, the student gets a post-graduate degree that is AICTE approved. Bachelors of Physical Education: In addition to everything mentioned above, the institute also offers its students a graduation degree in the field of physical education. This is a full-time two years program with a total of 34,000 as fees. Moreover, admission to this course is done based on an entrance exam AP PECET. This course is NCTE approved.
