Medical tourism, also known as health tourism or medical travel, simply means travelling in search of inexpensive and good medical care from one location to another or from one country to another. In pursuit of specialised care, earlier people from developing countries would migrate to developed countries paying a very high cost. In their home countries, the medication may not have been available, may have required lengthy waiting times, or may have been deemed dangerous.
