  1. What is a Home Inspection? Checklist

  2. By property inspection, the company that introduced home inspections in India, described in great detail. • According to Wikipedia, a home inspection is a limited, non-invasive analysis of a home's condition, often in connection with the selling of that home. • Home inspections are normally carried out by a home inspector who is qualified and authorized to carry out such inspections. • The inspector prepares a formal report of the findings for the client and delivers them.

  3. The consumer then uses the information acquired to make educated choices about their pending purchase of real estate. • At the time of inspection, the home inspector explains the state of the home but does not guarantee the future condition of systems or components, efficiency, or life expectancy. • This simply means that a qualified/certified Home Inspector specialist, using a checklist, assisted by software-supported instruments, conducts a home inspection and provides a report that represents the current condition of the home.

  4. Home Inspector • The Home Inspector is the most important in inspection. • He must be a person whose knowledge of the process of home inspection is essential. • You would want a person who is exclusively focused on home inspections and not someone who, as a side company, does home inspections. • You can also look for people with qualifications and/or training from approved organizations.

  5. Everyone may pretend to be a home inspector, but experience, knowledge and qualification are what separates the best from the rest. • One thing to remember is that the home inspector is always impartial and does not suggest the next steps or prescribe corrective action to the vendors.

  6. Inspection checklist • An integral aspect of the inspection is the checklist. For the area where the inspection is being performed, the checklist, i.e. the list of items to be reviewed in each home inspection, must be localized. • It should also be detailed to ensure that nothing important is omitted and that everything, however minor, is included. • For ease of use, the checklist can group related checks into various categories.

  7. Checklist • Civil • Architectural • Electrical • Plumbing • Safety • Structural • Environmental • Air • Water

  8. Final Report • The report at the end of it all is the deliverable handed over to the client. • Wherever practicable, it should be detailed, self-explanatory and use annotated images so that the client can follow up with the builder/contractor to fix the problems. • The study should be available for review online at any point in the future and on any computer possible. • To decide on the next steps regarding the house, the client will use the study.
