Is Philanthropy the Key to Happiness? Christopher Licata Delray Beach
Giving or donating is the definition of philanthropy. The act of "watching out for your neighbour" qualifies just as highly in terms of philanthropy as the voluntarygiving to charity causes today, whether by donations of money, time, services, or material goods. Today's most well-known philanthropists include Paul Newman, Warren Buffet, and Bill Gates.
The secret to happiness has been extensively studied, and while there are many different approaches and ideas on how to do so, it has often been shown that helping others has a strong correlation with maintaining one's own sense of happiness.
An essential component of a democratic society is philanthropy. Philanthropy is distinct from charity in that it focuses on ending the suffering brought on by social problems, whereas charity focuses on eradicating social problems.
Therefore, pursuing any job in philanthropy can be highly pleasant if you want to create a career that has an impact and is fulfilling. Yes, you can make a difference, generally in modest but significant ways, but occasionally in more significant and influential ways. And this would be the key to happiness for real.
